Commercial kitchens, catering establishments, restaurants, takeaways, and food businesses in the UK are legally mandated under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 to hold an annual non-domestic catering gas safety certificate (commonly known as a CP42).
