In the event of a mains power failure during a fire, emergency escape lighting illuminates escape corridors, stairwells, changes in floor level, and final exit doors so occupants can evacuate safely. We supply, install, and certify BS 5266-1 and BS EN 1838 compliant emergency lighting luminaires across HMOs, commercial offices, retail shops, and residential blocks of flats.
Installation & Testing Specifications:
- Maintained & Non-Maintained Luminaires: Installing energy-efficient LED emergency bulkheads, illuminated exit running-man signs, and downlights.
- 3-Hour Battery Discharge Duration: Fitted with robust Ni-Cd/Lithium emergency battery packs providing full 3-hour illumination on power loss.
- Strategic Placement at Key Safety Points: Installed near stairs, changes of direction, intersection of corridors, first aid posts, and fire call points.
- Key Switch Test Facility: Installing secret key test switches for easy monthly functional flicker tests and annual 3-hour drain tests.
- Commissioning Certificate & Logbook: Official BS 5266 completion certificate and emergency lighting logbook provided.
