Commercial Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) – 1 Consumer Unit (Up to 12 Circuits)
Under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, commercial employers, business owners, and commercial landlords have a strict legal duty of care to ensure that workplace electrical systems are safe and regularly tested. Our commercial electrical inspectors carry out comprehensive fixed wire testing on commercial distribution boards supporting up to 12 three-phase or single-phase circuits.
Commercial Testing Scope:
- Main Switchgear & Distribution Board: Thermal imaging, isolator operation, busbar integrity, and RCD/RCBO trip speed verification.
- Commercial Power & Lighting Circuits: Continuity, insulation resistance, and earth loop impedance on commercial ring mains, high-bay lighting, and HVAC circuits.
- Emergency Lighting Electrical Feeders: Testing power supply integrity to emergency battery backup packs and exit signs.
- Surge Protection Devices (SPD): Verification of Type 1/2 SPDs protecting sensitive IT servers and machinery.
- Main Earthing & Structural Bonding: Testing lightning protection bonding and incoming utility service connections.
Protect Your Business & Insurability
Commercial building insurers require valid EICR certification (typically every 3 to 5 years). An out-of-date report can void property fire and liability insurance claims. We provide flexible out-of-hours testing to avoid workplace downtime. Call 020 8432 3282 to book.
